Welcome to Lea Hill!


2026 marks the beginning of my 21st year as the principal of Lea Hill. For the past two years, Lea Hill has been one of the highest-performing schools in the state according to SBA data. I could not be more proud of our students, families, and staff.

I believe that for high-level learning to occur, relationships must be a priority. As such, I look forward to building partnerships with you and your child as we work together for their school success. As a parent myself, I believe we all want the same things for our kids at school - for them to be safe, develop healthy social and emotional skills and excel academically. A large part of my job is to help establish effective communication between home and school. The best way to set up uninterrupted time with me is by calling my Office Manager.

I'm proud of so many things at Lea Hill here are some examples: 

  • Our staff is second to none. We pride ourselves on high expectations, academic results, kindness, listening, and building strong relationships with our families!
  • Our student diversity. Annually, we have a tremendous number of different languages spoken at Lea Hill. EVERYONE is welcome at Lea Hill!
  • Our focus on strong classroom management and "catching" our students making good choices.
  • Our focus on inclusion and equity. We are a "push-in" school. This means the adults go to the kids in their classrooms (Title, Multilingual and IEP services)!
  • Our administrators believe in being active, visible, and supportive of high-level instruction. 
  • Our belief in The Science of Reading and explicit instruction. Our DIBELS, iReady, and SBA data clearly indicate the effectiveness of instruction at Lea Hill!
  • Our amazing new building that opened in the fall of 2022 and still looks brand new. We take pride in taking care of our site for our students and community!
  • Our focus on small group/differentiated instruction in core ELA and core Math instruction!
  • Our adult-led recess opportunities include organized soccer, basketball, and touch football (my personal favorite)!
